Accessibility statement

Last updated: 6 July 2026

HGV Driver Jobs wants everyone to be able to search and apply for driving work, whatever device they use and however they browse. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we have done, where we know there is room to improve, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is the standard widely used across the UK for accessible websites. We build accessibility in as we develop the site, rather than treating it as an afterthought.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML — pages use proper headings, landmarks and structure so screen readers can make sense of them.
  • Keyboard navigation — you can move through and use the site with a keyboard alone, without needing a mouse.
  • Colour contrast — we aim for text and controls that meet the AA contrast requirements against their background.
  • Responsive and mobile-friendly — the layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops, and works when zoomed in.
  • Skip link — a "skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight past the navigation.
  • ARIA labels — icon buttons and interactive controls carry clear labels so their purpose is announced.
  • Reduced-motion support — if your device is set to reduce motion, we respect that and cut down non-essential animation.

Known limitations

Job listings and some content are created by employers and advertisers, not by us. That means the wording, formatting and any images within a listing can vary in quality and may not always meet the same accessibility standard as the rest of the site. We moderate listings, but we cannot guarantee every piece of user-generated content is fully accessible. If a specific listing causes you difficulty, please let us know and we will help.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you find something on the site that is hard to use or that you cannot access, please tell us. Email hello@hgvdriver.jobs with a description of the problem, the page it is on, and the device or assistive technology you were using if you can. This really helps us fix things.

We aim to respond within 5 working days.
