These terms set out the rules for using HGV Driver Jobs (hgvdriver.jobs). They apply to everyone who uses the site, whether you are a driver searching and applying for work or an employer posting a vacancy. Please read them alongside our privacy policy and cookie policy.

Acceptance of these terms

By using the site, creating an account, applying for a job or posting a vacancy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

What HGV Driver Jobs is

HGV Driver Jobs is a free platform for advertising and finding HGV and LGV driving jobs in the UK. It is free to search, free to apply and free to post a vacancy.

We are a listings platform only. We are not an employment agency, an employment business, or the employer for any role advertised here. We do not vet candidates, verify vacancies beyond basic moderation, or take part in the hiring decision. Any contract, arrangement or dispute about a job is strictly between the driver and the employer or advertiser.

Your obligations as a user

  • Give accurate, up-to-date and truthful information in your account, profile and applications.
  • Only upload a CV and details that are yours to share.
  • Keep your login details secure and do not let anyone else use your account.
  • Do not misuse the site, for example by scraping data, sending spam, uploading malware, or attempting to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it.
  • Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, offensive or infringing on the rights of others.

Obligations for employers and advertisers

If you post a vacancy, you are responsible for it. By advertising with us you agree that:

  • every vacancy is genuine, accurate and lawful, and describes a real role you are recruiting for;
  • you comply with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and all other applicable employment and advertising law;
  • you never charge work-seekers a fee for finding or applying to work;
  • you carry out any right-to-work checks and other pre-employment checks yourself, as these are your legal responsibility and not ours;
  • you handle applicants' personal data lawfully, in line with UK GDPR, once it is passed to you;
  • you do not discriminate unlawfully in your listings or hiring.

We may moderate, edit, refuse, remove or suspend any listing at our discretion, including before it is published, if we believe it breaches these terms or the law. We are not obliged to publish any listing.

No guarantee of employment or applicants

We provide the platform, not the outcome. We do not guarantee that a driver will find or be offered a job, or that an employer will receive applications or find a suitable candidate. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current or that a role is still open.

Intellectual property

The HGV Driver Jobs name, logo, design, code and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse them without our permission. When you upload content, such as a CV or a job listing, you keep ownership of it but grant us a licence to host, display and use it for the purpose of running the service.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from any listing or application, from dealings between drivers and employers, or from any interruption to the service. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Links to third-party sites

The site may contain links to other websites, including employers' own sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

Suspending or ending accounts

We may suspend or close any account, or remove any content, if we believe these terms have been broken, if it is needed to protect the site or its users, or where required by law. You can close your own account at any time by contacting us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Please check back so you are aware of any changes.
