HGV 1 Driver – Enfield

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – DEPOT TO DEPOT TRUNKING / ENFIELD

We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a busy logistics operation based in Enfield. This role involves depot-to-depot trunking with pre-loaded trailers and no multi-drop work.

This is ongoing work with competitive PAYE rates, enhanced weekend and Bank Holiday pay, and overtime available after 10 hours per shift. Immediate starts available.

• Role: HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E)
  • Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing
  • Shift Pattern: Night / Late shifts
  • Start Times: Between 12:00 – 22:00
  • Minimum Pay: 8 hours guaranteed per shift

PAY

Monday to Friday – Standard Rate

• Basic Hourly Rate: £19.71
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.75
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £22.46

Overtime (After 10 Hours Per Shift)

• Basic Hourly Rate: £25.25
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £3.60
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £28.85

Saturday – Standard Rate

• Basic Hourly Rate: £23.52
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £3.30
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £26.82

Saturday Overtime (After 10 Hours Per Shift)

• Basic Hourly Rate: £25.25
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £3.60
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £28.85

Sunday – Standard Rate

• Basic Hourly Rate: £26.25
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £3.68
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £29.93

Sunday Overtime (After 10 Hours Per Shift)

• Basic Hourly Rate: £26.25
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £3.74
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £29.99

Bank Holiday Rate

• Basic Hourly Rate: £34.42
  • Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £4.85
  • Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £39.27
• Overtime Trigger: After 10 hours per shift
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Depot-to-depot trunking runs (no multi-drop)
  • Driving HGV Class 1 (C+E) box trailers
  • Pre-loaded trailers – no handballing required
  • Completing vehicle checks and required paperwork
  • Working in line with EU driving and working time regulations
  • Maintaining professional communication with the transport team

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
  • Valid CPC Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
  • Previous trunking experience preferred
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
