HGV Driver – Aviation Catering Logistics | London City Airport

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Drivers to join a leading Aviation Catering Logistics operation based at London City Airport.

Pay Rate

£21.70 per hour

Shift Pattern

• 5-on, 3-off rotating shift pattern
• 8.5 working hours per shift
• AM and PM shifts available
• AM Start Times: 04:30 – 07:30
• PM Start Times: 12:30 – 14:30

Key Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient transportation of aviation catering and related products
• Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with company procedures
• Completing deliveries and collections within scheduled timeframes
• Maintaining accurate records in line with transport regulations
• Adhering to all airport security procedures and UK road transport legislation
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements

• Valid HGV Licence (Minimum Category C)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Right to Work in the UK
• Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (CRC)
• Minimum 5 years checkable employment history
• Previous HGV or commercial driving experience preferred

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience operating flatbed lorries
• Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure
