Warehouse Driver / Forklift OperatorLocation: Brize NortonContract: 4 MonthsPay Rate: £22.00 per hour Umbrella £16.45 per hour PAYEShift Pattern: 5 on / 4 off rotating days and nights (12-hour shifts)Hours: Average 40.5 hours per weekOverviewMorson Edge is recruiting for a Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator to support a leading aerospace and defence programme based at Brize Norton.Working within a Part 145 approved environment, you'll play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, material movements, vehicle driving, and forklift activities, ensuring aircraft parts and equipment are transported safely, securely, and efficiently.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or aviation stores experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.Working Pattern• 5 days on / 4 days off rotating shift pattern• 12-hour shifts• Days: 07:00 – 19:00• Nights: 19:00 – 07:00• Average 40.5 hours per week across the yearKey Information• Role: Warehouse Driver / Forklift Operator• Location: RAF Fairford• Contract: 4 Months• Industry: Aerospace & Defence• Environment: Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance FacilityKey Responsibilities• Operate company vans (up to 3.5T) and forklifts safely and efficiently• Transport materials and equipment around site and to designated off-site locations• Load, unload, pack and handle aircraft components in accordance with logistics and airworthiness requirements• Carry out daily vehicle and forklift inspections, reporting defects where necessary• Support warehouse operations including stock movements and material handling• Complete documentation accurately prior to dispatch and packing• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment• Comply with Part 145 procedures, quality standards and company policies• Assist with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and housekeeping activities• Support Warehouse Management with day-to-day operational requirements• Report process errors, quality concerns or system issues promptly• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational requirementsRequirements• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record• Valid Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)• Previous experience operating forklifts and company vehicles• Experience within warehouse, logistics or supply chain environments• Understanding of Part 145 environments or regulated industries is advantageous• Excellent communication and teamwork skills• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety• Ability to lift and move materials safely• Computer literate• Flexible to work rotating day and night shifts• Eligible to obtain and maintain NATO-level Security Clearance• Able to pass security vetting, background checks and drug screeningThis is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operational team supporting a major defence aviation programme, with immediate starts available for suitable candidates.If you are interested, please send a CV to tess.garforth@morson-edge.com or apply directly!
