Our client, a leading multi-beverage distribution business, is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join their transport team based in Bedford.

Working Hours

• 48 hours per week
• Predominantly Monday to Friday
• Flexibility required to work any 5 days out of 7
• Variable start times to meet business needs

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products are delivered safely and on time to customers across the region. This is a physically active role where excellent customer service is just as important as your driving skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving Class 2 vehicles (up to 26 tonnes) to deliver products to customers.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries alongside Driver's Mates and warehouse teams.
• Building strong relationships with customers by providing a professional and friendly service.
• Planning routes effectively using your local area knowledge.
• Following all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of the Highway Code and driver legislation.
• Knowledge of the local area would be advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
• Manual handling experience is desirable but full training will be provided.
