Class 1 Driver

We are currently recruiting professional HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers for ongoing container work based in Pontefract . This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established transport operation offering consistent weekday work, competitive rates of pay and long-term stability.

Drivers seeking day work are welcome, and we can also accommodate those who prefer tramping.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of shipping containers to ports, distribution centres and customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and in line with company and legal compliance standards.

Candidate Requirements

Full UK HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
Digital Tachograph Card
A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach
Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Container experience is advantageous but not essential – full operational briefing will be provided
