HGV Class 1 / 2 Driver

Kenect are hiring HGV Class 1 + 2 drivers for their prestigious client based in the Uttoxeter area. This client offers both ongoing work and ad-hoc shifts, as well as temp-to-perm contracts for the right candidate, typically lasting 12 weeks. This work offers a fantastic PAYE pay rate of between £15 and £22ph, depending on experience PLUS holidays are accrued on top.

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you’ll be responsible for driving curtain sider vehicles and/or box trailers doing nationwide deliveries to RDCs.

As a HGV Class 2 driver, you’ll be responsible for doing multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods and using a pump truck/tail lift to unload.

The role:

• Temp to perm positions available typically after 12 weeks
• Day and night shifts available
• Runs available between Monday and Friday
• Start times between 0500 – 0900 or 1600 – 2300
• Paid weekly at £15 – £22 per hour
• Minimum of 8hrs paid per shift
• Immediate starts available

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license with Cat CE and/or C
• No more than 6 points on your licence – no DG/DR endorsements due to insurance purposes
• A valid CPC and tacho card
• Hi vis and safety boots
