Class 1 (C+E) Permanent Days

Attends a daily briefing and collects all removal information and reports relevant to the day's work. Ensures vehicle and equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose, reports all faults to the Pound Manager. Carries out a physical examination of all lifting and towing equipment, and ensures the digital tachograph is operating correctly. Checks to make sure the recovery vehicle is capable of removing the vehicles safely and informs the pound manager of any concerns. Carries out the safe removal of all vehicles, assigned either via the tablet p.c. or by telephone from the pound. Ensures all photographs required of the vehicle are taken and completes a vehicle condition report, contacts the pound to confirm removal and requests the Police are informed. Delivers the vehicles to the pound, unloads and takes further photographs. Requests next task from the office and repeats the process. Can often work with other agencies, when required including, Police, DVLA and VOSA. Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available. Must be flexible in their attitude to working hours, locations and must be prepared to take on other roles, temporarily, as required by the operation.
