Location: Southampton

Salary; £40,000 PA

Hours: 08:00 – 17:30

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a stable, day-based role with no nights out? LME Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading company in Southampton to find a professional and reliable driver to join their team.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

🚚 Collecting and delivering HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers locally (no nights out)

🚜 Shunting vehicles and trailers in the yard using a tug vehicle

🧹 Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times

🧽 Valeting and maintaining the cleanliness of trucks and trailers

🤝 Liaising with customers in a professional and friendly manner

🛠️ Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any defects

 

About You:

🪪 Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

🎫 Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

🏆 Previous experience in a similar role preferred

💪 Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

👍 Good communication skills and a positive attitude

👥 Ability to work independently and as part of a small tea
